Uncommon Holborn
Ekkist worked closely with client Uncommon and their design team to achieve WELL Precertification for their new co-working development in the heart of Holborn.
Ekkist worked with the design team through RIBA stages 1-4 to integrate WELL Building Standard principles into the design and planned operation of a high quality co-working office redevelopment project in Holborn, London, and to achieve WELL Precertification.
Working with Uncommon’s existing health and well-being principles (ergonomics, biophilia, sound, activity-based working, lighting and scent), Ekkist oversaw the design for well-being process and aligned Uncommon’s strategy to WELL Building Standard features.
This included implementing WELL features across physical design elements by working alongside project architects Cousins & Cousins, M&E elements, acoustic and lighting requirements, as well as operational considerations.
The project achieved WELL Precertification as an interim designation on its journey to full WELL certification.
