COMMERCIAL PROJECT

Olympia Offices, Yoo Capital

Ekkist supported innovative developers Yoo Capital in achieving WELL Core Precertification for the office elements of their new Olympia redevelopment.

The 500,000 sqft of exceptional office provision form part of Yoo Capital’s £1.3 billion regeneration of the site, which is set to transform Kensington Olympia into London’s newest creative district: a destination for culture, education, entertainment, exhibitions, incredible offices, eateries and over two acres of public realm.

Designed by architects Thomas Heatherwick and SPPARC, the workspaces at Olympia have an incredibly strong focus on large, high-quality external spaces and nature-inspired design, perhaps most strongly represented in the distinctive curving facades. The human-focused design is supported via healthy operational approaches that truly put people at the heart of the way the building is managed.

Alongside the office space, the masterplan will include a new 1,500 seat theatre, a 4,000 capacity music venue, new hotels, a school for the performing arts, 100,000 sq ft of bars, cafes and restaurants, and over 2.5 acres of pedestrianised streets and public realm open to the public 365 days a year – alongside the iconic Olympia exhibition spaces – ensuring that employees at the new office spaces will benefit from a rich blend of amenities on their doorstep.

Ekkist’s role on the project was to guide the team through meeting and evidencing the various WELL features required to achieve Precertification, alongside providing broader well-being guidance to ensure a genuinely healthy project that goes above and beyond accreditations.
