Newham Creative Well-being Space

Ekkist, together with Office S&M, won a bid to design a new 600m² community arts and well-being space at Queen’s Market in the borough of Newham, London.

Ekkist’s role in the project was to support the client and design team in creating a truly healthy community space.

The project was part of a part of a £5.3 million investment from Newham Council and the GLA with a wider plan to redevelop the area and provide more opportunities for residents and businesses in Newham.⁠⁠

The space was to be operated by Rosetta Arts, who provide creative courses, workshops and experiences for people in east London, reaching those who otherwise have little access to the rich and transformational benefits of the arts and education.
