RESIDENTIAL PROJECT

Albion Court, City Sanctuary

Ekkist are currently supporting developer City Sanctuary in targeting the very first “WELL for Residential Pilot” certification project in the UK, at their Albion Court building in Whitechapel, London.

With health and mental well-being at the heart of their philosophy, City Sanctuary were keen to explore the brand new WELL for Residential Pilot scheme, and approached Ekkist to help navigate this process.

The scheme includes a number of innovative features to enhance occupant well-being, from highly tuneable and programmable lighting to automated blackout blinds.

MEP engineers Hive have also specified smart thermostats will combine with thermal monitoring systems to support occupant comfort, while air filtration units will optimise indoor air quality.

Psychological well-being has also been considered, with the project targeting points around perceived safety, security and reassurance, and a strong focus on biophilic design in collaboration with interior designers Owl.
