COMMERCIAL PROJECT

11 Belgrave, Quadrum Global

Over the last 4 years Ekkist have supported Quadrum Global with the WELL Certification of 11 Belgrave, a new  office development in Belgravia, London. The scheme is nearly complete and targeting WELL Platinum.

Ekkist have been advising Quadrum Global on WELL Certification for 11 Belgrave Road for the last 4 years. The scheme achieved WELL Precertification status in 2021 and is currently in the process of completion, targeting WELL Platinum Certification.

Ekkist has worked closely with Quadrum to create a health and well-being strategy and WELL Certification roadmap for 11 Belgrave, as well as providing documentation support for WELL Certification. This has involved working closely with the project team to ensure all aspects of the design are considered in relation to occupant health.

The scheme is the first in the UK to achieve an Excellent 5.5-star NABERS UK* design-reviewed target rating for building efficiency and one of only three to be WELL pre-certified across the country.

Designed by Eric Parry Architects, the finished project will be 108,000 sq. ft of net zero carbon office accommodation. 11 Belgrave also includes 14,000 sq. ft of communal spaces and a 3,300 sq. ft café and 4,600 sq ft gym. In addition, 13,000 sq. ft of green space has been designed by landscape architects Gillespies.

There is a strong focus on nature and biophillic design to support both people and nature, with a 2,600 sq ft private garden at ground floor, a private terrace on the sixth floor and multiple terraces on the seventh floor, as well as a rooftop platform offering 360-degree views over London.

“Designing the redevelopment of 11 Belgrave Road has been an exciting opportunity to deliver a ground-breaking landmark office building for the next generation of occupier, focused on the highest ESG standards in an exceptional location and with well-being at its heart. By investing the time and effort to pre-certify its credentials, we can demonstrate real value rather than intention.”
